Game Description
You have just begun your first shift as a lighthouse keeper. Use your light to direct ships safely to harbor, and to ward off monsters from the deep. Try your hardest to save as many ships as possible!
Information
This game was made for Design Week Challenge at Sheridan College in October 2022 over the course of 4 days by a team of 4. The challenge was to create a game that uses an alternative controller. Created in Unity.
The Game Jam Timeline
After being assigned a random team, we were presented the challenge of creating an alt.ctrl game. I helped iterate on our design to create a lighthouse game.
I led the design meetings and helped delegate tasks and priorities based on what each team member was most comfortable with.

Gameplay Flowchart
This is a gameplay flowchart and loop diagram I created to help better illustrate the flow of the game to our programmer and other members.
As the Level Designer I designed the waves, enemy types, ship types, and created the tables to manage different ending criteria and other asset lists.

I also helped make the controller!

Key Take-Aways

I used an Excel sheet to keep all level design numbers for monsters speed, health, and powers. This was also used for narrative bark lines and sound cues.

Miro was used to help the team keep track of the vision for gameplay flow and the basic game loop.
